System Design
The purpose of installing a fire alarm system is to protect people and property. A particular system is designated a system type P, L and M. Each of these, demands special attention when selecting the appropriate equipment and designing the overall fire system. We place critical importance on detailed and practical design planning, including consultation with all the regulatory and interested parties.
Installation
Adhering to all British Safety Standards, we passionately work hard to ensure that your premises have the necessary level of protection to meet UK legislation. The installation of fire detection and alarm systems is controlled to strict criteria. A Cook Fire and Security installation complies fully with BS 5839-1:2013 and the latest IEE edition. Our fire alarm installations are designed in-house on our purpose built facility, including Autocad and A0 printing. After job completion we can supply you with an electronic “as fitted” manual. This will allow you, the client to view compliance certificates and then store them electronically ready for inspection when required.
Commission
Industrial and commercial fire alarm systems are technically-complex. We have a dedicated team of engineers that are fully-qualified to perform fire system commissioning. Our team have been trained by Gent and other manufacturers to specialise in the requirements of their systems. In addition we hold all the accreditations required to work in the public sector and in high security sites such as military installations.
